To expand our reach and foster partnerships with other sectors in academia and industry, we need your support in remodeling a room in the Physics Building (pictures below) that will serve as a laboratory, a meeting place and an ideation space for the development of new products focused on theoretical work and computational modeling as an initial stage of the design process. This novel approach will expand the range of research possibilities that foster everyday solutions, as well as impact relevant industrial sectors. The space fulfills the educational function of training students in the design of soft materials. Unfortunately, the difficult fiscal situation at the University puts at risk many of the programs and efforts that benefit the economic development of Puerto Rico, as well as the talent required for emerging jobs. This also makes it difficult for us to achieve our goals.

Contribute in the form of a donation of any kind. We have partnered with the Association and Foundation Alumni Colegial to help us in this fundraising campaign. These funds will be used to fix the lighting of the place, painting, install a door with digital access system, purchase of tables and chairs, whiteboards and several computers. Funds will also support stipends for students.

We are happy to provide further details. Thank you very much for your attention.
